Social interactive architecture

Urban social democratic architectureOk, I admit, the three-dimensional browser was a nice idea, but a CRAPPY PICTURE! I just didn’t have the patience.. Whatever, now Stylewalker’s back with some fotos! Taken on a nice and sunny day in Berlin where I met two guys in the street, dismantling a postbox and a big sign: “Look at it and decide what you want to do here!”.

Interesting idea: There was a free space, right next to a café and a house, in Schwedter Straße. The guys study architecture and set up the experiment of letting people give them ideas for some kind of pulicly used space.

Science: Masterthesis mindmap

Master thesis organizational identity mindmapIf you are interested in what my master-thesis in communication will be about, click the thumbnail and you’ll see a mindmap.

In the map, I tried to combine all the theories I would like to discuss in the thesis. From organizational theories (e.g. Max Weber, Mintzberg) to the discussion about formal and informal structures of organizations, psychoanlytical organization theory (starts with Freud, happ 150th, anyway!), organizational culture and to my core object: organizational identity. (Albert & Whetten wrote a lot about it)

The brand is your friend

Ross Levinsohn on NYTWhat might, on the first look, seem to be yet another marketing claim or even a nice way to describe the academic concept of brand personality, now gets a new red-hot quality. The recent strategies of Rupert Murdoch aim to turn the impressive success of MySpace, which is already the second-most visited site on the web (after Yahoo), into an even bigger revenue machine.

He put one of his most skilled multimedia managers to the task: Ross Levinson, boss of Murdoch’s News corporation’s overarching online unit: Fox Interactive Media.

Joga BonitoCertainly, we are going to see a war for awareness in summer when the world is watching the football world cup and the opponents: Adidas vs Nike.

Nike already started a massive internet campaign with “Joga bonito” (Portuguese for “Play nice”). You’ll find many cool movies and a community: www.joga.com (the page with the fastest growing rate of attention lately, as per Alexa.com)

Guido Argentini at Camerawork

Update:Unfortunately, I had to take the pictures down because it violated the copyright of the artists. Feel free to check the rest of my blog anyway, about art, music, Berlin and lifestyle.
guido argentini erotic photoA highly recommended exhibition is Guido Argentini’s “Private Rooms” in Berlin’s most famous gallery for photography: Camerawork. An excellent photographer who worked for glossy magazines and is best in taking elaboret yet crispy pictures of strong women in erotic poses.

The impacting big prints of “Private Rooms” show roles, certainly fantasies and games in between dominance and seduction. Somebody said: “A good mix of Playboy and Helmut Newton”. By all means, he most likely knows how to establish a good relationship with his models.

Cameraworks is in Kantstraße 149. You can see more of his work on his website. Or just
