Stockholm style, fashion and nightlife

Hanna FridenEverybody is so crazy about Scandinavian design, especially in fashion lately, with labels like Acne or Cheap Monday capturing the world in no time. Having lived in Sweden I can confirm that Swedes DO have a lot of style, whether it be skater, lady or lad. It was fantastic living in Linköping (not for the style only, please, of course for the calm and warmhearted people). I also had a punk band there, but that’s another story..

Today I want to recommend Hanna Fridén who runs a blog (and does graphics and works for the magazin Stureplan and so on..) with lots of nice stories and moreover great photos of Stockholm people, fashion and lifestyle. She has also has a very charming writing. Which you can only enjoy if you read Swedish. Ha! No, seriously, I know some people who come here and understand it – Svenskar, var är ni? Säg något, är ni snäll!

Stil in Berlin

“StilinBerlin explores the style of Berlin. We try to document the urban, cosmopolitan and multicultural spirit of the city, we live in. Fashion can describe what a city is, so we take photos of outfits that stand out and capture within them that spirit. We hope you enjoy the Berlin style as much as we do.”

Word – check Stilinberlin!

Diesel got hijacked and gets blackmailed by two models

I always liked the edgy and provocative advertising ideas of Diesel (The current slogan e.g. is “Ready for global warming” -sic ).

This one’s not bad either, here’s the story: Two girls who want to be supermodels hijacked the diesel page, kidnapped a Diesel sales guy, stole the underwear collection and are now blackmailing Diesel to make them the two protagonist models of their next campaign. They also want to be Diesel renamed to “Heidies”..

Now, they communicate with their fans via the site, e.g. let them vote what should happen with the kidnapped guy. Despite the fact that he gets his legs waxed, his situation is not too uncomfortable really..

First dance at Cookies

First dance at CookiesSo yesterday was the big opening again, famous partymaker Cookies debuted the new club at Unter den Linden / Friedrichstraße. And it was sure no dissapointment: Party people, fashion people, international and arty people, lots of hats and style and funky moves and an atmosphere that made you feel that they loved to have their Cookies back. Not only I met old friends I hadn’t seen in a while, I heard many “Good to see YOU again!” all over. The bathrooms are gender-separated this time, the sound could be much better (invest, as soon as you’ve made some cash, Cookie!) there’s a lounge upstairs and a massive big floor that used to be a movie theatre with the typical candelabras and many bars to dance on. And so they did! Enjoy some fotos and a short Continue reading
